Real Estate Internship

McCurdy Real Estate & Auction is looking for motivated and organized individuals interested in real estate to join our fast-paced team as Real Estate Interns. As a Real Estate Intern, you will work closely with our Sales Team and shadow one of the key sales/executives within the business. You will participate in the following:

Real Estate Auction Sales
  • Opening auctions and greeting customers
  • Runner – signs, lockbox, general tasks
  • Data entry of bidders, tracking sheets in Excel
  • Analytics – Excel
  • Marketing Input of Property information, (MLS, LoopNet, websites, McCurdy system).
Traditional Real Estate Sales
  • Automatic Email Setups, Follow Up, Maintenance, Customer Calling Follow Up
  • Start of House Hunting Initial Packets / Onboarding Customer
  • Detailed File Maintenance and Organization
  • Expansion and Maintenance of Online Presence
  • Sunday Open Houses (2-4) on Owner Occupant caliber properties.
  • Runner – signs, lockboxes, flyer boxes, etc.
Personal Property Auctions
  • Setup – Manual Labor, Clerk and Cashier
  • Logistics – Move equipment, sound equipment, etc.
  • Data – Clerk, Cashier, data input
Responsibilities
  • Listing Document Preparation & Paperwork Coordination
  • Preparation of auction booking packets and listing packets for sales team.
  • Client Interaction (coordinating paperwork, interacting with owners and tenants for leases and keys, coordinating access for photography, open houses, showings).
  • Preparation of detailed property information packets.
  • Data Input: Website, MLS, LoopNet & various other websites.
  • Maintain customer information in McCurdy database.
  • Preparing and composing letters to home Sellers, Tenants & Real Estate Agents.
  • Positive First Impression when greeting visiting clients.
  • Ordering placement of auction signage, checking out lockboxes.
  • Maintaining traditional sales inventory (MLS input, price changes, extensions, etc.).
  • Administrative Assistant and other tasks assigned.
Requirements
  • This role requires daily, in-person attendance at our office. Remote or hybrid options are not available for this position.
  • High level of administrative, secretarial and organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize simultaneous activities and assignments and work under deadlines.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be a strong multi-tasker.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, Access
  • Strong skills of English grammar and usage and a fast typist.
  • Requires strong telephone and interpersonal skills and ability to operate multi-line phone system and a high volume of calls.
  • Demonstrates high degree of integrity, responsibility and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and work well with others.
  • Shows strong teamwork attitude.
  • Willingness to assume additional responsibilities and learn new skills as necessary.
